Emma's 18 Month Checkup

Yesterday Emma had her 18 month Dr.'s appointment, and I am happy to report that she is a growing and healthy little girl! She is weighing in at 24 pounds, 7 ounces and is 31.5 inches tall.

She had to have one shot but she was very brave and only cried a little. After the appointment we had to take her over to the lab to get her blood drawn. It was just for routine checks, nothing to worry about, but Mommy was DREADING that!!! But after all was said and done it wasn't as bad as I had expected. Emma was super brave again and only did a little bit of crying. As soon as it was over she got some stickers and it was only a matter of seconds before she had forgotten all about it. :) When we were done I took her to feed the ducks and she got ice cream from McDonalds after lunch. I am always a super softy on shot days!!

And just to keep you updated, we are still in the process of getting her tested for allergies. It is a very slow process, but eventually we hope to get that figured out. The allergist said they will do a blood test to test for food allergies and a scratch test for airborne allergies. Hopefully that will happen soon! However, her eczema seems to be a lot better since we moved so that is a blessing!

Emma will be 19 months old next week. We can't believe how fast she is growing. She is running all over the place and is learning new words every day. Last week Dave taught her all of the Pooh characters...her favorite show and friends!!! :) She's a cutie!!
